Meet The Vendors!

Ash Tree Designs

My name is Ashley Osgood, and The Ash Tree is my own self-started business created during my  junior year in 2008 at the Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston. As a recent graduate, I am excited to take my experience, education, and product to the next level.

I am an artist, specializing in wedding calligraphy, handmade jewelry, recycled sail products,  and handmade books and agendas. After studying abroad in Italy, I’ve rediscovered my strong passion for photography, charcoal drawing, and painting.  Now that I’m at the Shipyard, I’m excited to have a venue to experiment with new product lines!

Dock This Way
With a degree in business management and 30+ years in retail experience, Jayne Osgood has been the driving force behind much of the business’ early success.

Her business partner is her oldest daughter, Ashley, who is a Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate from the Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston; she also holds a minor degree in Entrepreneurial Leadership with Tufts University. Our additional Osgood family staff members, Doug Osgood and Olivia Osgood, allow us to address all our customers’ needs.

As a team, we possess the creative ability and business sense to execute your project! “When you don’t care who gets the credit, there’s no limit to how high you can climb.”

Sloan Fine Art

As the 6 In the Shipyard’s newest “curator”, Alice Sloan attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and received a BFA in Art Education and Printmaking. She also attended Boston University, where she received a Masters of Science in Arts Administration. Most recently, Alice was Gallery Manager for South Shore Art Center’s newest space in the Hingham Shipyard.

Ms. Sloan has also been the Volunteer Coordinator for SSAC’s Festival on the Common, and prior to that she was a Production Manager in Creative Services at Boston University. She thoroughly loves representing local artists, promoting original art that is locally made and supports the area economy.
