What’s New at 6 In the Shipyard: Spring Is Here!

As for the 6 In the Shipyard shop, certainly the warmer (better) weather makes a difference. We are open now Tues-Sunday and will be open on Monday’s starting May 1st.

Some little exciting shop news tidbits for you:

  • The Patriot Ledger came in last week and did a story on the store, and took great photos. Camilley’s Closet met them at a CAbi show we had done with a close friend Sydney, as they were doing a story on her running her business while going through Chemo. We had mentioned how fabulous it would be to have some press for the shop, and now we will have an article in either tomorrow’s or next Tuesday edition in the Women’s Business Section!
  • 6 In the Shipyard has also done a couple of shout outs via Local Betty. Local Betty is a great local organization out of Hingham, and comes from the founders’ desire to live more locally, love of the South Shore community, and commitment to share information that helps us all navigate the little stuff with a bit more inspiration. Visit their site or sign up for their newsletter for great updates on local deals and to read up on local businesses!

6 In the Shipyard news and products

  • The Launch at Hingham Shipyard has been great in advertising our shop’s promotions – check their site, Facebook and Twitter frequently for upcoming events. We are also looking to speak with the Hingham Journal for some press, as they just did a piece on our neighbor the Hingham Gift Company. We also happened to be mentioned in that article, and a few customers came through on that over the weekend.
  • The Hingham Marina is hosting their in water boat show this weekend, so this weekend should be great for the Shipyard!
  • The Shipyard Mini Golf has been set up. Yes!
  • There will soon be Hydrangeas replacing the fir trees in the urns outside 6 In the Shipyard. Which is very exciting and you should look out for them.
  • We have three new vendors including our first ‘boy’ Gabriel Foster who is the bar manager at Alma Nove. He does beautiful photography, and also creates fun, funky and colorful signs from wood.

That’s it for now – fingers crossed for some continuous real spring weather!
